How to Stop Your Classic V8 from Overheating in Summer Traffic

Here’s nothing quite like the rumble of a classic V8. But if you own a vintage muscle car, you know the anxiety of sitting in summer traffic while watching the temperature gauge slowly creep into the red zone. Classic car overheating is the number one enemy of vintage engine restorations.

Original brass and copper radiators simply weren’t designed for modern stop-and-go traffic or upgraded horsepower. To keep your big block or small block running cool, upgrading to a 3-row aluminum radiator is the best investment you can make. Aluminum dissipates heat up to 40% faster than traditional materials.

If you’re restoring a first-generation F-Body, don’t risk your freshly rebuilt engine. We highly recommend tossing the heavy factory unit and installing a direct-fit performance cooling system.
